"The location and surroundings are stunning. The Shepherds Hut is luxury ….. so beautifully done with so many added touches. The hosts Sophia and Simon were wonderful and would help with anything you needed. The Alpacas wandered the grounds happily. We did the Alpaca experience with the hosts who shared their extensive knowledge of these beautiful creatures and it was obvious they were well loved. The hot tub was an excellent challenge and we watched the stars whilst enjoying a..."

"I have just returned home from my Hen Do, and the Darling Woods of May hosted our Saturday afternoon activity for 24 hens! We cannot speak highly enough of Sophie and Simon, and the business they run. The farm is beautifully kept, and the Alpacas are so well looked after and loved, which is reflected in the animal’s temperaments. They are just the most gorgeous animals. Sophie and Simon couldn’t do enough for us. They are welcoming, kind and patient...."

"We attended the Darling Woods of May yesterday, 6.4.25, with our 9yr old granddaughter. This is an experience I would definitely recommend. The owners, Sophie and her husband were very knowledgeable and so friendly. They were helped by their son who was very experienced too. There was only our party booked on the trek, it was fab. It was so chilling to be able to have the interaction with the alpacas. They are so cute and cuddly. It was lovely..."

The farm is beautiful, and the alpacas are so well looked after – it’s clear how proud the owners are of them. We had a truly lovely experience and can’t wait to rebook again. Highly recommend!"

"The most amazing stay at The Botanist this weekend. In the most peaceful, calm and truly lovely setting with everything we could’ve wanted. The small touches of a bottle of processco, milk and robes were just some of the lovely things that made all the difference. Sophie and Simon were truly the best hosts. Nothing was too much and they went above and beyond to make our visit so, so lovely. They were friendly, helpful and you really can see..."

"Amazing little getaway for my Wife's birthday. Nice and relaxing, with only 2 Shepherd Huts on site. Wood fired hot tub, BBQ and Firepit. I would recommend walking around the site, visiting the Alpacas (they might also visit you in the morning! It was amazing enjoying breakfast with them roaming around outside the hut), also see if you can find the secret place! Lots of amazing wildlife, we saw loads of birds and a particularly keen Robin who seemed to..."
